Discover our exclusive Bright Valley furniture collection, with every piece chosen for High Country living.Deague Group and MCM House unveil bespoke furniture collection for Bright Valley
Every home at Bright Valley can now arrive fully furnished and ready to enjoy, with a bespoke collection designed exclusively for our community by leading Australian furniture house MCM House.
Founded by Charles Hinckfuss in 2005, MCM House has built its name on classic, contemporary Australian design. Its commercial arm, MCM Workshop, has completed more than 200 hotel, hospitality and workplace projects, including Raes on Wategos in Byron Bay and the five-star Osborn House in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
Designed by Hinckfuss for Bright Valley, the collection furnishes all eight home designs, from the living, dining and kitchen spaces to the bedrooms, study and terrace. Lighting, rugs and décor complete the package. “We wanted the interiors to match the quality of the architecture, and MCM House stood out as the clear choice,” said Jonathan Deague, Managing Director of Deague Group. “Their work features in some of the country’s best hotels. Bringing that level of craftsmanship to Bright Valley gives our buyers something that feels like home from the moment they arrive.”
The brief was clear: take the cue from the homes’ modern alpine architecture and create interiors that feel timeless, connect to the landscape and stand up to everyday life. MCM House responded with enduring materials and natural textures, warmed by rich tones and tactile finishes.
“We looked at materials, proportions, textures and colour to keep the forms balanced and understated so each piece complements the architecture,” Mr Hinckfuss said. “These homes will be used year-round, so every piece needed to work practically as well as aesthetically.”
Among the pieces is the Lodge dining table, crafted from reclaimed European oak. “We chose reclaimed European oak for its warmth and character. It feels like it belongs in the High Country,” Mr Hinckfuss said.
For holiday homeowners and owner occupiers alike, the result is a seamless, end-to-end experience. The turnkey package removes the time, effort and coordination of furnishing a new home, delivering a residence that is ready to enjoy from handover. Early response has been strong, with buyers citing the convenience and value of the package.
“It’s highly considered, but it is also practical for the way our buyers will use their homes,” Mr Deague said.
The package will soon be offered to all Bright Valley buyers, with full details to be shared shortly.
